The only critique I have is that when I heard this it gave me an inferiority
complex and made me think...."dude, you need to quit jacking around with
computers and practice your musicianship because your playing sounds like
caca compared to this"....so other than that and the fact that I can't come
up with any other critique, I'd say it's nothing short of beautiful. Love
the arrangement too. Is that Mrs. Lonentzen on vox?
;o)I've always like the sonic ne3utrality of the RME stuff but never really
A/B'ed it against anything else I have here in any kind of serious way.
Yesterday I switched off my Benchmark DAC-1 DA's to use the DA's on my
Multiface or a brief period. then I compared the MF converters to my Mytek
Stereo DA. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these RME DA's in
comparison. I could easily use these as a reference.
I sometimes hear folks in various forums say that RME converters are "mid
level" in comparison to others. Mid level compared to
what???....Prism.Weiss???........well maybe, but we're talking $12k at that
point. I've heard Lynx and Apogee converters and I preferred Mytek to those.
Since I'm comparing the RME to Mytek here and thinking that they stand up to
them, I'd say that these boxes are a hell of a deal for the price.
OK...'nuff said.
Deejtrue datIf you use the lossless compression you could fit roughly twice as many
CDs. Just in case you ever need to add more than 100...

12' would be just the right length to be able to fashion the noose that my
wife would tie around my neck with these, with enough left over to throw
over a rafter if I was standing on the chair that she would shortly
thereafter kick out from under me.
;o)Oh, that's funny...
You can buy a speaker cable, or feed 1/2 of the starving
people in a small country for a month...
Or hell, forget the food, and buy a car!
A new custom guitar, or two...
scumbags....
I love the Bay Area Audiophiles guy too...
How about Bay Area Really Fugged-up Yahoos?
BARFY...

discussing this and the point was made that while you can certainly make
cable that sounds DIFFERENT how can you know that it's actually more accurate?
An age old debate... with no end in sight!

composer crowd. Not enough to keep up with Apple's onslaught.
Competition is good for any industry, but it seems that like most industries,
"consolidation" is the name of the game.
