Mike did a great job on these.

Mic #1 is the original he built in 2001 that was sent to Morgan at ECCM and
A/B'ed against some pretty major competition (and held it's own IIRC) It's
shell is a Marshall V67 with the green body and gold plated grille. The tube
is a Raytheon S5940W. It has a Jensen output tranny and sweet, sorta' "warm

capsule with a Peluso cardioid capsule. It increased the level of detail a

than the Raytheon in Mic #1. this is really insignificant but then the mics
are gain matched, this mic has a very smooth "buttery" kind of quality. Not
smeared at all and very detailed, but a different quality from Mic #1. If I
were going to mic a vocalist with an edgy midrange, I'd grab this one to add
a little touch of dicipline.

I really like both these mics and they have served me well. They are
excellent on instruments too and the only reason I'm offering these up is
