image of your hard drive... Replace the drive and
restore...
Most everything is restored as normal. Anything updated or added since the
backup will not be there... including any winders updates... If you replace
anything that reuires drivers.. ie., motherboard, agp graphics card, etc. I
recommend restoring from scratch... because if you restore and don't get
rid of those old drivers properly... it could effect your system. Some of
those
drivers have a simple uninstall... but many don't or will not uninstall
properly.
