I'm talking strictly for Steinberg, nothing else. The old MCU is flimsy by
comparison in just about every way.

gazillion-track prog-rock-later-peter gabriel wannabe group, and it's been a
real downer to work through - so this has been a very welcome change. Shame
Club is so live and stripped down - I'm just cranking the tracks up and
letting Paris rip. I've got an EDS comp on the 2-track, but nothing else on
it. Just boosting up the output. It sounds so think and juicy to me.

Very cool. Beefy, grunty, crunchy.
Damn. I want a burger and onion rings now.....
pabIt's the NForce4 chipset. NForce3 works great. NForce4 .not so. Chris Ludwig

well too. Highly recommended for UAD-1 cards. You don't need the"ultra". All
it provides is an extra LAN port and an extra SATA controller (which shares
IRQ with PCI slots that you will need for audio or DSP cards so it's
unusable on my system anyway.

If'n y'all go to http://www.laidbak.com/ebay/paris/album/index.html
you can see the photos I've gotten so far.
Still waiting on some - I will update as they come in. Apparently
some people are just shy or something.....
Come on, folks. Send me those photos!!!!
pabHI Bill,
If you are using a UAD then you are SOL. The Nforce 4 in general has
some PCI bottlenecks in it from the PCI to PCI-e bridge design.
Also that bundle is gonna be loud if your using it for audio.
The Asus A8R-MVP is the only board that is fully compatible with UADs.
It has 3 pci slots and 2 open PCI-e and you can mix PCI and PCI UADs
on it.
Like all these board they won't be around much ;longer. All the FX/X2
and Opteron 100 series chips are compatible with it. I is not Vista
compatible if that matters to you. But the majority of the 939 will not
have Vista compatibility either.
