ed the drums, acoustic guitars, some electric, and the actual piano. I did the rest of the keys while the bass and other electric were done by Phil Rogers from Atlanta.

Hi guys

Have an interesting scenario that might just be coincidental but then again maybe not.

On two sessions where I have had to transfer audio files via USB stick from an Apple Laptop to our main DAW (PC), about 30 minutes after the transfer the DAW starts choking then hanging and / or blue screening and the last time it just shut down with no warning.

If it happens again this morning I'm going to write down the blue screen info and pass it along but for now I see no common factor except the transfer from the Apple to the DAW

the session to its limits and no screw ups at all...go figureThanks Ted...Yeah I have always done this as a second gig to flying and have been able to help out a number of people with the studio but the last year or two I just got to where I was spending most of my free time working on more stuff where I was losing the desire to work on it all together and figured it was time to enjoy some more time with my wife and see what else life was offering right now. Anyway.....
front end pres were api 512's, BAE 1023's, or sytek on some drum mics,...kick, snare, guitars, bass, vox went through an 1176 or distressor going in. Vox...Peluso 2247. I use mostly delays to create space anymore with limited verb and any of those would have been PARIS plugs. Mastering lately I have have just been using the Steven Slate channel either on SSL or NEVE, UAD pultec usually flat but on, a couple nudges on the UAD precision EQ here and there usually to clean up just a bit overall, UAD maximizer to taste, then UAD limiter. I could probably get more detailed if you want but that is pretty close.Thanks Matt -

Totally hear you regarding life priorities. This is not my principle occupation, but find it occupies almost as much of my thinking as anything else in my life.

I have 3 or 4 projects to do this year, then I expect I'll take stock of things too.

I have never experienced this.

I can only think that there is a plug or something in Wavelab that is running in the background or perhaps there's something in Paris that is actually present, but you don't hear it because of where you're plugged in for monitoring...

I am monitoring out of the mec monitor outs directly to powered monitors. I can hear paris effects through them. I'll check for any other

plugs or effects that may be on but wouldn't I hear them if I hear Paris effects?
Thanks again.Has anybody successfully used a SCSI cable with PARIS that is longer than ten feet? I am referring to the 50 pin cable that connects the MEC to the EDS 1000 card.

I used a Big Ben for a while, then let it go for a pre amp. Later I listened back to stuff that had the Big Ben clocking and it struck me how good it was.

The listening was not the kind where you're desperately trying to hear every nuance with white knuckles, but the kind where you're leafing through tunes trying to find one you have a vague memory of, and the sound immediately jumps out at you. I then had to go back through my notes to find out what had been used on it.

Hello all, thinking of dusting off Paris and I want to run Paris with my console. How do I connect this in the Paris patch bay? Any help and reminders are greatly appreciated.

MichaelJust remember that much of PARIS' internal patchbay is not truly "patching" at all but instead "mapping". In patching, inputs go to outputs and outputs go to inputs. In mapping, it's the opposite, it's hardware inputs to software inputs and software output
