Man, just imagine what those guys would do with a Paris rig if properly
motivated/educated/legalized with it.

Absolutely.. phase :)
On the phasor plug, I think that to be the same thing. You can ballpark it,
but the very nature of it being a phase plug makes it impossible to track
exact timing, as it's being pushed/pulled.

Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for the compliments. We're pretty happy with =
it, too. I'm really glad we decided to go with the lyric booklet, too. =
That came out better than I expected.
The studio is a tiny basement studio, carpeted concrete, purple foam =
glued all over everything. The "control room" is about the size of a =
small bathroom, and the recording room is a long narrow thing, like a =
small one-car garage. Let's see . . .. Mackie 1604 mixer; monitors =
Mackie HR824 and Auratone monitors; DBX 576 tube preamp/compressor; =
microphones -- 1 AKG C414 BULS, 1 AudioTechnica Pro37R, 2 Shure 849, and =
a big pile of Shure SM57s. The poor 414 gets used on everything, even =
the kick drum.
Guitars: custom Thinline Telecaster, Tokai Stratocaster, & 1969 =
Gibson SG standard, and a Taylor 414K acoustic. Richard did all the =
hot leads on my old SG. The bass is just some old Ibanez copy of a =
Precision. All were recorded with Pods, except the Taylor, of course, =
which was the 414 at the neck and the AT Pro37R at the bridge. I =
couldn't tell you how we recorded the drums because we never did it the =
same way twice. I think there were nine mics, though. :)
I cain't think of nuthin' else, but if you have specific questions, =
I'll try to remember. Oh, it was mastered in Wavelab v3 with Native =
Ultramaximizers and things.
I'm so glad you like it. We're working on number 2 now. Hopefully =
it won't be intererrupted as often by deaths, surgeries, floods, etc., =
and we'll get it done faster.
Peace,
Sarah
PS: Here's a glimpse of the studio w/ "lil" Sarah, and a glimpse of my =
favorite guitar.
