Innotek (recently purchased by Sun) makes a good free VM solution and you
can run linux, Solaris, or XP (or OS X if you're willing to do a little work)
in a VM.

Anyone know of a spectrum analyzer plug in (with goniometer if possible,
but not
essential) that will work with OS 9? Inspector will I'm pretty sure, but
I can't find
a legacy version anywhere, and Roger Nicholls hasn't returned emails. I want
to insert this in the Native plug in slot.

I used to use PAZ as part of an older Waves bundle, but my dongle is broken...
(I hate when that happens).

we genuinely like each other.

That has to mean there is room for hope that we all can get along here.

We just need to never ever feed the trolls.

>>This is by far the most important reason why I suggested to upgrade to something
like vbulletin. of course I got slammed... saying that too many were too
use to this format. vbulletin can require a verification, log in and has
more controls. Forums can be moderated and posts can be easily edited by
the author. too many reason not to update! Any tom, dick or harry can post
on here now with no edits or control... come out of the 70's and into at
least the 90's with vbulletin.

Although most of you don't remember me (cause I don't post that much), I
have been on these groups since 2000 or 2001... shortly after I got my Paris...
but there were a few times I left, planning not to come back because of
post content.

I am moving on to a firewire system now and will also prolly slip away
in the cyber dust. But I never got that close or posted that much, so I
won't be missed.

Just my 2 cents...

>>Thanks James, I really appreciate your response.

I have actually already been through pretty much all these links, and they're
all OSX,
except potentially Inspector (now Roger Nicholls Digital) and PAZ. Roger
Nicholls
did email me back and sent an OS9 installer for the free VST plugin, but
so
far, the installer won't work. I''m waiting to hear back again.

I have emailed Waves as well, and have not yet heard back.

I guess I'm a Dinosaur, using a discontinued Recording App on an outdated
OS...

I'll be able to hear the frequencies beyond 20kHz that my microphone isn't
capable of reproducing.

I've been told that the ones that have a thick rubberized coating are more
expensive but there's less chance of picking up RF.
