ne OCD. Haven't
tried it with the new Savage but I've been using it for a few years with
the Top Hat. It's a very friendly OD for already gritty class A amps. I was
going to use one of my (unused) Line 6 modeling pedals as a stereo splitter
but the flanger might be a much better option. Considering the rest of my
pedal board (Fulltone Clyde wah -> Moog analog delay -> OCD) it might 'fit'
better.
Nevertheless, as an old geetar geezer, the Savage really is something.
BTW - the other geetar player in the band uses one of the direct drives through
a very nice sounding Bassman and it is a great sounding pedal. I think maybe
more suited to a clean Fender sound than what I get with the full open amps
I use, but still a very fine pedal. The OCD really does kill with the Top
Hat. I think you're a Hiwatt guy at heart, if memory serves, and I bet the
direct drive would be wonderful with those amps.
