Very handy. Got mine from Morgan. Without it I would die.

Jeff,
Your screen shot looks like it shows 3 more strips than 1280x1024 =
allows. That's nice.
I was thinking of using the Matrox Triple Head 2 Go which seemingly =
only provides 3840x1024
to three monitors off of the second head of my dual head card. I =

I guess with this scenario I'll be stuck with 1280x1024 permanently. =
Okay then no widescreen.
I also really don't like that shiny glass look of some new LCDs. I =
prefer the flat look if you

You need a dual-head card, and that's about it, really...
nothing special apart from that - Windows XP (And also ME, not
sure about earlier versions) even has options under
the "display" submenu that lets you configure this.
FYI they're not all super-expensive, either; I saw one at Best
Buy a couple weeks ago for $59, I don't recall the brand, but
it was a 128Meg dual-head AGP card.
Neilvery much thanks and appreciation to all who responded to my recent inquiry
as to how I might make the EDS1000 behave like a general system soundcard---
some very valuable and useful ideas/general knowledge, surfaced- and one
very strong possibility---
anyone else with anything at all more to add to the general mix, will also
be very much appreciated---
most sincerely,
harry e.That's a pretty cool idea... maybe you could even use it for
re-amping stuff (have you tried THAT on the B3 yet with the
POD?).

>Here's another idea:
A couple of weeks ago, Costco here in SoCal had Viewsonic 22" widescreen
LCD's (#VX2235wm) on sale for $300 ea with their coupon. I picked up a
couple of them, and I am totally in love. 1680 x 1050 native
resolution, 5 ms response time, gamma settings which look very close to
CRT's for skin tone accuracy in video playback, dual inputs - VGA & DVI,
etc. Once I 'installed' the monitor software, ie, copied the .inf files
over, my P650 Matrox said "OK, I can do that resolution on both VGA
ports, and give you TV out, too!" Very simple...
I no longer use Paris (Nuendo 3 here), but nonetheless, there is a lot
of real estate available for mixer or timeline screens with these
babies, and I have seen them in the various other electronics stores
(Best Buy, Circuit City, etc) for around $400 after rebates.
My next project is trying to get HD video playback from the Nuendo
timeline onto one of these beauties, as they will do 720p from the VGA
or DVI port without breaking a sweat. Still looking for the proper AVI
file types to achieve that, though...
