Check with Mike Audet or Aaron Allen on this problem. Sometime if you have
two Mec Interface in the Patching area configurated (like A&B) and you save
it; but, you are really only using "A" then you will get this message.

Hi Bill-
Marshall Chasin up here in Toronto. He works with John Chong.
Together they head up Musician's Clinics of Canada.
http://www.musiciansclinics.com/home.asp
They're quite good, and a who's who of Performing artists credit
them with reviving/prolonging/saving performing careers. I only
know Marshall through my connection with John. He has worked with a number
of my performing piano clients, and also with my
wife, who is an Illustrator. He's quite brilliant and equally eccentric.
Highly recommended
Ted http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/jesper/archive/2008/05/08/do es-your-amd-based-computer-boot-after-installing-xp-sp3.aspx
Is this cool or what?and it also locks you into IE7 so if you need IE6 you can't have it.Hey, I currently have a cheap mexican strat guitar and it's got good sound
and I play through and AX 212. Nothing special here. I've been intrigued
by the Brent Mason Valley Arts Tele that is a go at tele, strat, les paul
sounds all in one. So.....3 questions what's the cheapest way to get those
awesome sounds?
is there a better guitar you like?
what amp to use for stage
what di to use in studio?
Easy question huh?
hehe,
Thanks,
JohnHi Derek,
I have some of the code, all of it is for the esp2. I haven't come across
that particular algo, unfortunately.
I do plan to port the effect to vst. It's just that my priority is building
up PARIS.
All the best,

an emulator so that I can compile the plugins from this machine.
The issue is that Chuck said that the compiler setup for the Mac plugs is
esoteric. He said until the mac was shipped to him, he couldn't get anywhere
with them. I plan to transplant the disk image to my PC as soon as it arrives.
But, if someone has a copy of code warrior for OS 9, I'll give it a try.
I can load up OS 9 with a click of a mouse on my dual core Athlon here,
which is really cool! As long as someone else can test them for me, I should
be ok with the hardware I have.
I did acquire a copy of code warrior already, but it only runs on OS X.
Actually, let me send an email and see if I can find out what version of
Code Warrior is needed. I'll let you know what I hear. I'd really like
to get this done, too.
All the best,

John, I like the multi-pickup idea of the Brent Mason better than doing the
two humbucker split/tap/series/parallel thing in order to approximate a Fender.
I played a PRS yesterday (its been a while) and I didn't care for the 5-way
rewire options to get the single coily sounds. I've also owned a few guitars
with 4-wire humbuckers which also never did the single coil thing well enough
for me. However, my approach to getting different guitar tones might be
extreme. I own 22 guitars ;-)
1. IMHO, the cheapest way to get all those sounds would be to find a nice
$200 strat copy that you like and put on a good humbucker in the neck. If
you find the right hunk of wood and get a pro setup with fret leveling/redressing,
some cheapies can be quite decent and vibey. If you have a little more cash,
build a parts guitar. Still, it's always going to be a compromise in my
opinion.
2. A better guitar that I like? I'm rather partial to my '61 ES-175 or
my '66 ES-335 ;-)
3. For stage, I use a 50W '77 Marshall 2204 rev with a matching cabinet
containing greenbacks. I need the higher gain for my live band, and the
Vox doesn't cut it for me.
4. For my DI, I usually use my home-built Gyraf G9, which has a transformerless
12AU7 instrument input:
http://www.gyraf.dk/gy_pd/g9/g9pd.htm
I also use a home-made Alembic F-2B (attached) for bass.
I generally dislike DI guitar/bass though. I never DI guitar unless I plan
on re-amping. I always do a DI bass track, but I only wind up using the
DI bass about 50% of the time, and usually under a miked bass channel. I
don't use any modeling DI/software.
