Neil, Edna, couldn't the rectifier just have gone Kablooey? As you say =
it could be symptomatic of another problem but if you read my last post, =
I may have been overloading the thing. Looking at the circuit board =
carefully, I see no other browned or burned resistors, etc. Maybe I'll =
send it in, but I might try to fix it myself as it will be only a couple =
of bucks if it doesn't work. The unit was bought used from another owner =
a few years ago, on ebay, and I'm not sure if it is still under =
warrantee. I'll have to look into this. I probably know just enough to =
get this wrong, but wish me luck. I know........ I'll soon be hearing, =
"I told you so"! :-)
