OK, I don't normally do this, but damn it, this song is driving me crazy

I'm linking a demo of a song from the new CD project. It's a weird
little ditty and I just wanna know what people think and also if anyone can
tell me what the hell kind of music this is. Or maybe that doesn't matter.
Who cares about categories anyway?
Remember, it's just a quick demo, so excuse the midi drums and the raspy
scratch vocal. :)

:D ok, was just teasing there. Actually I think I'd describe it
as eclectic-electric-folk. There was one part in there that had
kind of Tori Amos vibe, but it's still more folk-oriented than
that, I guess.
But it DOES have that sort of Acid-Era vibe to it... reminds me
of something from that period - err... if i could... only...

>Hmmm...are all of them not showing up? You could try adding c:\windows\system32\ensoniq\plugins
(or whatever the exact text is) into your path. Let me know if you need
help with that.
I'm really at a loss, though. I haven't had that problem at all.
Let me know if it is just one plug or all of them.

Your voice reminds me so much of Grace Slick sometimes. I like the song and
the mix/production.......it sounds somewhat "broadway musical'ish" to

and ran outside and there was this drunk moron crawling out of his car.
Miraculously, only a couple of scratches on him. My neighbor across the
street saw him sideswipe two cars down the road about 100 yards and then
start to accellerate away when the big black bear that has been hanging
around here got scared by the noise and ran across the road. The guy
swerved, overcompensated and rolled his car.
Luckily the bear is OK and this ***hole is on his way to jail.

I hope they improved the loading - I can't get it to preload anything - I
have to run the keys for all sounds to get them to load and play - anyone
have this problem with DFHS?

behaved very well in v-stack..
I also purchased the EZ drum kits and it to did not load well. I think they
have addressed the load issues with this new interface and engine..
That being said, if you guys have no tried out XLN Addictive Drums. http://www.xlnaudio.com/
. They have raised the bar for all other virtual drum apps. These drums
just plain work!! Period! They sound great, and very esy to edit.

Let's give Digi some credit for AT least trying to address the abandoned
"Mid Market" segment.
For those of you who not that familiar with PT HD. PT HD 2acel is a hell
of a rig with alot of power. On a Nice MAc or PC (Multi-cores) you can run
alot dsp and Rtas plugins along with 130 tracks.. Yes, I knwo we can do that
with our Native apps, but, it's nto as smooth, flexible(routing) as this
solution. Especialy with this controller-C24.
So, before you start the Digi bash, take real hard look at what's being offered.
My thoughts these days is that the DAW audio companies (Hardware & Software)
want to nickel and dime you all the way to the top $20kPlus, 8 channels at
a time.
As well as, Steingberg. They really need a unit like this for Cubase and
Nuendo.

I think Digidesign has actually put together something that is pretty
attractive here. I just wonder there the got'chas are. There are always
got'cha's somewhere with Digidesign..........always.some critical
functionality they leave out that costs big time if you need it.
Wasn't it WC sync with the 001/ 002 and 003???....I can't remember.Yep .The 003 WC.Finicky.. But, HD..Smooth. I think Digi had to fight back
with:
-8 core16 core personal computers
-Apple's Logic Studio
-Steingberg Nuendo on 8 core 16 core personal computers.
I think they used their strenght with hardware to addred to Mid-Level pro
market with a Product like HD2 Acel and a killer controller that has 16
mic pres and 8 x2 submixer, Talk back functions and full comaptibility with
the Pro tools app. Nero zero latency...192 tracks @41/48k..96 tracks @96k..With
full completemnt of plugins. This is not LE/M-powered..We're talking HD.
Not that lame cripple ware. 18k from digi is looking really good.

but they had a pin for pin replacement for .88/pc .
I got ten just in case all three of my Mecs need

Hi Erlio and Paul,
Give this ini file a try. I had some initial problems - I had been editing
the ini files in notepad, and it seems to add some formatting that PARIS
doesn't like. I opened the ini in visual studio and pasted into a new file.
Hopefully, that will strip out any ugly formatting that is left. Worse
comes to worse, I'll just type the whole thing again.
Let me know how it goes.

suggest. K metering gives you a visual reference to what is -12dBFS,
-14dBFS, -20dbFS, etc as your SPL reference point.
RME's Digicheck has K metering and is extremely valuable. Inspector XL
(Roger Nichols) also has K system.

interface (I'm one of those), there is a solution.
First go register at Toontrack, then DL the free EzPlayer.
Next, install the EzPlayer on your computer (it will only show up as a VSTi
in a host sequencer)
Next, in your sequencer create a midi track.
Next instantiate EZPlayer as a VSTi and up at the top, go to the function
where you navigate to your midi loops library and set directory path to your
loops, wherever they may be.
Next instantiate BFD as a VSTi
In your midi track choose EzPlayer as the midi input and BFD as the midi
output.
Now you can go to EzPlayer and click on the loop you want to audition, BFD
will play it and then from EzPlayer you can drag and drop it into your
sequencer midi track. It's incredibly quick and easy to use this way.
It looks like BFD2 is going to following a similar path as Toontracks
EzDrummer from the looks of the interface. I can't wait. I didn't much like
the samples in EzDrummer.too preprocessed for my tastes.
Anyway, for those who work with BFD and midi loops, this is definitely the
ticket, IMO.

I have to disagree with you my friend on EZ drums libs. I love them. The
BFD drums are too raw. Requires too much work when working on a mix.
You probably noticed all of these third party BFDdrum libraries that are
very much processed and ready to go.

I have now tested with both inifiles and it seems to be no luck for me
at all to open the new ParisCompressor with any of these in WinXP. I
see there are some bmp files inside the pluginmap that is needed to
show up different EDS-plugins. Can it be a bmp-file that's missing?

Since our last session, Venus has crossed in front of the sun and is now
leading it across the sky. Today, the moon is slowly closing in on Venus.
I took this picture minutes ago with my ancient Sony camera. Over the next
few hours, the moon will move closer towards the sun, passing Venus in about
11 hours (2001-10-07 5UT) after it sets later in the evening. But that's
only here on the west coast of california. If you're in Asia, you may see
the moon pass a couple of degrees north of Venus as it goes on it's merry
way around the Earth. Tomorrow it will be between (and a bit north of) Venus
and the sun.
