He was at the Blue Note in NYC in July and I wanted to go but it didn�t work

GeneThe band that I was in during the late 70's covered "Gonna Fly Now" as
part of a semi-disco dance set of tunes we did when playing clubs. I
played trumpet on it, but we had to move the song's key down a step,
'cause I couldn't hit the high F# at the end to save my life.

That's my Maynard memory...
