aring on the quality of the convertors but
I have found that the 8 in convertors are better in either format than the
other interfaces (unless you use high end down the adat pipe). However, if
you're using something like say percussion and jam the levels down paris'
throat like I do, you'll hardly notice a difference I think. Where it
becomes more apparant is in vocals and acoustic instruments, and would like
take quite a few tracks of build up to note problems. For instance, a dude
like BT wouldn't be able to live on those convertors simply because
80-something tracks would be muddy :)
Normal earthlings however could likely hit over 18 tracks w/o noticing much.

CLLet's see... I've owned an ADAT card that sitting in my MEC for quite a few
years. Of course, I got rid of my Alesis ADAT Blackface many years ago....
my question is... what are some of you others using the ADAT card? I don't
see the prices dropping too much on them and I am wondering what useful
purpose they have besides transferring 8 tracks to a Blackface or ADAT
machine... Thanks for any feedback...Thanks. The RS1's are pretty pricey aren't they?
