what a
ripoff of OSX Vista is. Not that a Fischer Price-grey semi-translucent GUI
vs. a black translucent GUI has anything to do with getting work done with a
DAW, which was the point of my post to begin with.... That and dispelling a
bit of FUD about Vista in case other users are considering it to run Cubase
or Nuendo with at some point.

Again? Well.... the obvious answer for you is .... don't use it! Please,
enjoy OSX! We know you hate PCs/Windows already.

Is the new machine going to be running Paris or just Nuendo?

chrisl@adkproaudio.comWhat I'm more wondering on the supply side is if enough dirty power is
getting to the mobo if it isn't causing a long term damage effect. That
could come from the wall OR the internal supply if a capacitor/filter
circuit is faulty.
I'm not doubting you have mobo damage, but I'm wondering what could have
created that condition. Power supplies do very odd things when they aren't
right. Got an O scope to look at the power coming off it at the rails?
