What you like to do ?
The 8 Input Card into first Mec ?
In this case you don't need a second mec.
If you like to take a two card system to record, you need a 2nd mec.
I have ribbons for connecting 2 EDS with each other too.

So please advice about connections. Do i need a second MEC?You don't necessarily need a second MEC, you can run a two card system with a single MEC - if you just have one, the audio from both EDS cards is pre-mixed and flows through it.
Getting a second MEC is really about getting more inputs and outputs (MECs are limited to 20 active channels of i/o at a time - the built in i/o plus two active cards (say an ADAT card and an 8i, or any other combination). You can have eight cards in one MEC, but only two can be active at one time.Thanks Kerry. Will see whats needed to get a nice expansio pack for my Paris system.Dan,

not the whole Paris Stuff, but i have buyed a lot of Stuff in the past.Some Stuff i have lease to friend and get it back now.
I have "jumped" to Universal Audio Apollo now.
So my Setup today is :
Apollo Quad
1x Paris MEC /2 Adat/ 8 input / 8 output
RME 9652
RME 9632
Universal Audio UAD2 Quad
UA Twin Finity 4710d
UA Compressor 1176ae
to go into DAW. With Paris i have 32 I/O. Thats enough, i have decided !
In the Past were 16 I/O Adats in my DAW blocked by E6400 Sampler. I will rout them over RME 5652 into my System.
I have used two 4710d going into second MEC.
The Third MEC was fillend by other Romplers (Proteus 1000 & 2x2000, An1x,X3,ChaosPad)and so on.
Apollo is real good. The special is, you can use your plugins in realtime !
