>I just went with an internal Seagate after receiving two DOA Western
Digitals. No problems and the drives are performing well. You might want to
check to make sure the Seagate Firewire uses the Oxford 911 chip set.
Historically it's been the preferred chip set, but it might not make as much
of a difference now and days. I have had good luck and saved a bit of money
"rolling" my own Firewire drives. Newegg has a 250 Gig Seagate SATA for
around $100.00 bucks, and I've recently seen external Firewire cases with
Oxford 911 for around $40.00. they're simple to put together. My two cents.

did SDC on the toms, one splitting the mounted toms and another splitting
the lower floor toms. That was everything we wanted and needed for picking
up the room.

DCI believe 16-bit .wav's @ 44.1k or 48k are the only options for
that conversion, aren't they?

Yeppers, but you can set it (at least SX, dunno about earlier
versions) to default to regular .wav or b'cast wav, either one.
Now, if he's got it set up as b'cast wav, he can export as
regular wav, since that's what you'd need, if he's going to
render out each of those tracks separately (or as non-
interleaved l/r files ).
Don, is he not sure what to do or how to do it? If not, I'll be
happy to do it for you - he'd just have to send me the project
files & audio folders & files on a CD-R. Lemme know if I can
help... be glad to, if needed.
