>Lamont, I live every day as a minority... where I live, the
population is about 70% Hispanic. So since I can (and do) live
as a minority, I guess based on your criteria I'm qualified to
chime in:

1.) If you're poor in this country, you get free healthcare...
period. Yeah it sucks that you have to sit in an ER waiting
room to get it, but said poor person also doens't get $5k's
worth of bills like us "rich" people do when their daughter has
to go in for an appendectomy, or tonsilectomy, or knee surgery
from a volleyball injury (yeah it's one of those sports
us "rich" people get their girls into in school - you know, the
ones where us "rich" people have to pay for uniforms & separate
sports insurance & stuff, while the "poor" people get those fees
waived... another way of saying "you 'rich' people are paying
for the poor people's kid's uniforms, too" What - you think the
school district absorbed those costs? LOL!!!). So even
though I've been fortunate enough to have decent insurance,
I've also paid into a LOT of deductible's & "20% patient
portions" over the years, too. Is it better than no insurance
at all? Yes, I will admit that it is. Is it cheaper than being
able to get free healthcare if you go into an ER as a person
who has no ability to pay? FUCK No!
This has no boundary - you can be black, white, asian,
hispanic, paisley... just because you cannot pay, a hospital
cannot deny you essential care.

2.1) I know of no "United White Persons College Fund", or
"Chevron White Persons College Scholarship Program", or any
type of government or corporate charitable tuition-related
assistance available to anyone other than a.) those that can
demonstrate true need, and b.) Those for African-Americans &
Hispanics & maybe a scant few for Asians.
2.2) I also know of NO government-mandated programs that audit
businesses to make sure they have an adequate amount of white
folk working for them. This all means that the educational &
employment opportunities for minorities are vastly superior
to those available to "non-minorities" (essentially: "anyone
who is white"). So why are you playing the race card?

And don't play the "400 years of opression!" thing at me,
either, because if it wasn't for your own brethren in the Ivory
Coast kidnapping & selling your ancestors off to whomever
wanted to buy them, there wouldn't have been a slave trade to
begin with.

Man - really getting tired of being blamed for every fucking
evil in the western hemisphere!!!

nothing has changed about slavery. while it may be distasteful for
one to accepts what ones own can and will do for profit it does not
change the fact that they did and did so willingly.

Are you terminated with a BNC "T" on the input of the MEC? see attached, or

I used to own Waves. Then when win XP came out, they tried to ding me for
$300.00 to upgrade my software. I don't use Waves any more and will NEVER
get involved with their ridiculous WUP.

Most of my time recently has been "desert time". I feel like a crispy
critter when I get home. There isn't enough skin moisturizer or water on
earth to alleviate this feeling at this time of year and the last thing I
feel like doing is working in the studio. I'm spent and have been going to
bed around 9:30 PM so I can get up around 5:00 AM and head down to the area
where I've been working before the winds kick up and suck the life out of
me. I like to get home early afternoon. Hopefully the monsoon season will
start around the middle of July. It's been pretty predictable/consistent the
last couple of years.I spent summers in Boulder, and I remember that weird 'I'm dehydrated but
not sweating' thing.

Not a problem in CT right now. It's pushing 90 with dew points above 70,
or in other words kind of like walking though hot, sticky goop. And I have
an office softball game tonight. Whoo hooo!

My boss's kid spilled something into his Mac. I had put an XP partition on
it for him to play games. That boots fine, the OS X partition does not. It
looks to me like a boot loader issue, because I can select the OS X partition

you have a core2duo or quad you should run it.

ADK Pro Audio

www.adkproaudio.com
chrisl@adkproaudio.comA friend of mine uses one of these and I had a little time on it a while
back and thought it was at least "OK" and I see used ones fetch "almost new"
prices in the rare event that they become available on EBay so when given
the opportunity to trade a piece of gear that was little used for one of
these, I bit.

http://www.aybg12.dsl.pipex.com/

I played around with it some last night. I must say that I'm impressed. Very
transparent Class "A" pre with a smooth/transparent compressor and expander.
It's got up to 70dB of gain so it's a nice choice for old ribbon mics and
the expander works in such a natural way that, if tweaked properly, you can
basically gate the self-noise right out of a mic circuit without chatter or
unnatural decay characteristic.

Also, the top of this unit could be used as a hot plate for eggs ' hash
browns. Even with the ventilation holes in the top, depending on what was
racked above it, I might want more than 1U rack space above. It could
probably heat a small apartment in the winter.

I give this piece a thumbs up so far.

DeejDavid,

Do you mean terminate both the input with a "T" and the output?

This works for XP SPII with no problems. We have it. We use it. there is
another putilty program that allows PC's to read Mac discs.....I can't
remember the name right off the top of my head. Don't go there. We did. It
sucks so bad that the tech support for that product actually recommended us
to use Macdrive 6. We are using it to read an OS 9.2.2 disk.

Good luck.

GrahamHmmm....it seems they have upgraded to an XP specific version now:

This is what I'd use. You might want to call their tech support staff and
explain your problem. they were very good to work with.

I picked up a 75 ohm termination from Kiesub electronics and I put a meter
to it. It only reads 1 ohm. I thought it was a resister load termination
but is it possible that it is a inductive or capacitive load and therefore
can not be accurately testing with an ohm meter?

WayneJust run a straight feed from the BB to the MEC input. You don't need a "T"
for the MEC input. Use a 75ohm terminator cap on the MEC out.

Your tiredness can largely be caused by the lack. Headaches and other
symptoms also go away right after taking the stuff.

Hot here too - and it ain't a dry heat. FLA.

I bought a 16 channel API console back in the "90s and parted it out,
keeping a bunch of stuff for my studio. I love the pres and the 560, but
I was not wowed by the comps I got (they were smaller than the 2500 and
mono) or the 550a. I actually preferred the EQ on my TAC Matchless console.

I too don't do Waves ever since the ME to XP scam.

r more. Sense AMD is 8 times smaller than Intel it
is easy for Intel to loose some money to gain more market share. Even we
were forced by Intel drastic moves and having AMD hot a brick wall in
development for a while. We had been a AMD only shop for at least years
before that. Now we sell nothing but Intel. There is nothing by AMD
worth selling at this point. Hopefully this will help give AMD a kick up
so they can survive Intel's onslaught. If AMD is finally able get the
new multi-core technology they have out of the lab you will see many
people going back to them. I bet Apple will be the first one.

In fact, I think I have one of these and will have to dig through the garage.
Bought it long time ago and never found a use for it.

Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions.... ~ Ed

What's scary is that 'userland' code should be able to exploit some of these.
