m using a sort of ad-hoc MIDI setup, which may or may not
apply to what you're running, so I'll ask you to tell me what you're
running first and I can help you from there.
Specifically:
-what OS/platform
-what MIDI I/O device(s)
-what controller/slave MIDI devices (keyboards, samplers, synths,
sequencers, etc.)
It took me several days and many, many hours to get my MIDI setup
working right for recording. I hope I can save you some pain. :-)

work on one channel in the aux. When assigned to another channel, it mutesthat
channel, and the meter always stays on full. Also, my native effects
are missing.
JoeHey everybody,
As the subject states I'm trying to get Paris to work in Southwest Virginia.
Picked up a 442.1000EDS and a C-16(from Lucio on the for sale board). My
problem is the infernal 7/7 error. I know it's some kind of hardware conflict(IRG
or not seating the card right that I got from one of the web sites. I actually
was using a Power Mac G3 350 at OS9 and it was allowing me to access the
C-16. Then suddenly I started getting the error message. I've also tried
using a PC(Windows 98) with an AMD Duron processor and got the same message.
If anyone can steer me in the
direction of Paris recording I would be greatly appreciative. I've heard
so many good things about the system and have used Rolands' VS-1680 and tried
the Akai DPS-24 but was never fully
satisfied. That's why I took the plunge.
Thanks
JPI've been running an ensoniq Paris system under win 98 with a C-16, and IF/2,
and a 442. Bunch of other stuff piled on the front end ( i.e. POD Line 6,
Alesis Quadraverb, etc ).
I'd like to run the system under XP.
Does anyone know if this can be done, or is/is not easy to do ?
ThanksHello All!
Have been running Paris 3.0 on Xp for more than a year now, with not much
problems.
I just decided to send this now to have your view on this.
When i startup the Paris Application, the Splash screen appears, and the
communication to the MEC starts.
For me a "normal" startup will show the Internal reference light up, then
the sample rate, then Master Clip and then Abit24 Clip.
But sometimes, maybe once on 5 attemps, there will be no communication with
the MEC.
The light up sequence will not occur. then if i check in my Patchbay window,
there are some components missing.
I close up the App and start it up immediatly and it is then ok...
Has it happened to anyone,, any ideas? any driver update?
See the provided Attached images just in case
thank you!

Hi All,
Here's another build.
It turns out waiting for 20 milliseconds is a BAD idea. This version will
try up to 1000 times to allocate the buffer before it gives up. Just a word
of caution: it seems to me that the UAD plugins have issues with the few
seconds after system startup, too. I get crashes if I try to load a project
with UAD plugs while the start-up disk thrashing is still going on. PARIS
loads fine, as do projects without UAD plugs during this time. Just wait
30 after start-up, and all is well.
I managed to get something that improves driver latency working! This will
not mean anything right now, but it could mean everything once I get started
on the ASIO driver. The driver will now use all available CPUs to speed
up interrupt handling, and PARIS DPCs go to the front of the list. Sweet.
Instructions are now in the zip file.
Cheers!
Mike
