------=_NextPart_000_0408_01C5A689.D181C400--I don't know for sure, but that could be your problem. DJ has the answers
to this. I believe when he moved to SX 3 he got the new 9652 and it works
great. I'm still on sx 1.06 so the Dakota card is working for me. I just
bought a new 9652, though as I'm getting ready to spring for SX3 also.

Stock, Paris will not do this w/o some creative use/thinking, a few I/O's
and an external compressor.

We started using USB for midi, that's where we went wrong. IMHO, midi has no
business at all on that bus. Unfortunately, MS has little regard for the
sanctity of exact timing, so the PCI bus is not much different, though a bit
better. Now it's all up to the software to make it work right or not,
whereas cards like the infamous MQX-32 were ROCK solid performers.... too
bad those are all ISA slots, just try finding a place to plant one of these
(or drivers in Win2k/XP to run it).
AAPACE updated?

Thanks for the suggestions. The files are definitely in the right folder.
What's particularly odd is that 3 presets have stayed in the main library,
but no other.
There is another problems though:
I'm getting occasional crashes too, particularly when closing one project
and opening another. e.g. Unhandled exception c00000005 at address 0a1723b9.
Paris then crashes, and the computer freezes, requiring a hardware reset.
I'm on an Althon XP 3000, so I assume hyperthreading isn't a problem. The
mobo is a AsusA7V880, which has a VIA chipset (any problems here?), and I'm
using a Raedon VE 9000 or 9200 dual head card (I may try my Matrox G450 to
see if this makes any difference). There's no other hardware but the one
EDS (PCI 3).
I did try a reinstall of XP (Professional) a while back - same problems....
so I'm guessing something's going on with the hardware... there's just not
a lot in the machine the to make it go wrong though!
Suggetions welcome!
