d off big chunks of THREE fingers on his left hand. Index/middle
at about the first knuckle and ring just above that knuckle. Of course he
assumed he couldn't ever play for real again but it took him a couple of
months at most after he had healed and he was playing essentially indistinguishably
from before the accident. I was amazed, but not nearly as relieved as he
was.

tia... ~ EdYou can assign aux sends to the 8 out card. With two cards you could
get 16 discrete outputs using all 8 aux sends. With only one card, you
would have to do some pre-mixing. The 8 out card can also be assigned
to the monitor/mix outs to take advantage of the 24 bit convertors.

The supply I pulled from the Magma did not look stock. it
looked like a cheap 400 watt mongral.
I just bought an Antec 550. It is modular in that you only attach
the cables that are needed. It seems to me that that supply will
be able to run with or without anything attached to it.
Does my thinking stand to reason?

containing multiple object as a single one.
I currently have a project with 5 tracks, all tracks contain multiple
objects and all track have their own audio level.
Is there a Paris Command that Flattens all the The tracks to a single WAV
file while keeping the Audio level ratio between the 5 tracks...

NJNot that I'm aware of other than doing a mixdown
or
placing all your tracks on to one track (yet it;s a nightmare) and render
that track

Most Excellent Fix It Guys,
New problem. Just installed a new Antec 550 watt supply.
Powers up nicely in the Magma. It will run with 5 EDS cards
then shut off just before XP boots and screws the whole shootin' match.
I'll double check seating of the cards but what else would have made =
even
the new supply to croak? Fans are cooling well too.
I'm thinking I have a broken EDS then ? Maybe 3 . . . ? The Magma?
Damn. Are there Magma drivers? If so I'd need older ones. The Magma
tech was almost laughing at how old mine is. It has a slot on the far =
left
for the Magma card. The newer one's slot #s go 1-13 rt to left as you =
face the front.
I think mine's the opposite judging by my master card placement.
Everything is broken it seems.

My Magma has not only the 20 pin mobo power connector
but 3 x hard drive type connectors that go to the Mobo.
Not sure if this means anything.

in South Bend, Indiana.
Artists performing included Kevin Chalfant, Jeff Scott Soto, and Scrap
Metal, an all-star band composed of Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Kelly
Keagy from Night Ranger, Eric Martin from Mr. Big, and Mark Slaughter
from Slaughter.
Special guests during the Scrap Metal gig included Jim Peterik and
Jimi Jamison, Jack Blades, and Joe Lynn Turner.
Now, keep in mind that back in the 80's and early '90's, these guys
were the bands I was listening to. I would have given anything to
just shake their hands. If you had told me that now I'd be hanging
around with them, or if any of them would have given me their home
phone numbers.... I'd have said you were effin' nuts.
I actually went with Peterik, so, as his personal roadie I got to say,
"I'm with him" and actually mean it.... ;-P
Plus, I got to hang backstage and in the dressing room.
I got to listen to those guys working out the harmonies on songs that
I listened to all the time - in fact, still do. Gave me chills to
hear Turner working out the harmonies to Rainbow songs....
And this was really the first time, aside from a World Stage show in
Belgium, that Peterik and Jamison have performed on stage together
since Jim left Survivor in 1990. The crowd went insane.
I also shot roughly 542 photos between the dressing/rehearsal room and
during the show.
After I offloaded my camera and browsed through all of the images, I
suddenly realized something. There are zero photos of me with the
stars.
I guess my relationship with Jim has conditioned me to the point where
I'm still fan enough to ask for autographs (you should see the walls
of my hallway - LP frames from Michael's are my friend -- but
apparently now asking to pose for photos with them is something I feel
uncomfortable doing. I guess I want to be accepted as a normal guy --
I definitely don't want to abuse my friendship with Jim and risk being
embarassing. I kinda enjoy having the chance to just stand around and
talk to these guys like real people, and I like to think they
appreciate that as well.
So, if any of you ask for proof that I was actually there, and not
just making this up, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I like the autographs (mostly on album covers) because somehow I think
it's cool. I've got a copy of "News of the World" signed by Brian
May. I've got an album signed by Harry Chapin. And my "Bat Out of
Hell" picture disc is signed by Meat, Kasim Sulton, Rundgren, and
Steinman. I just get pleasure out of looking at the walls in the
"Rock Hall" in our house. And aside from the Chapin and the copy of
"The Who By Numbers" signed by all 4 original guys, they're all

My Magma has not only the 20 pin mobo power connector
but 3 x hard drive type connectors that go to the Mobo.
Not sure if this means anything.

I have the same old Magma, and it doesn't require any drivers.
I'd try booting Windows XP with no EDS cards in, then one, then two, etc.,
until you can find the problem. If it is the bridge chips in the Magma,
I believe Windows would fail even if no cards were in it. You may want to
test it with another PCI card in it just in case I'm wrong about that. It
sounds to me like a bad card that is throwing the PARIS driver for a shit
when it tries to innitialize any 442s that are attached (that happens on
start up).

"External"
as the destination. Then you select how you want the channels sent ie, which
tracks can be grouped together, stereo pairs, drums, backgrouond vocals etc.
and send them out. The Aux module takes care of the returning of the signal.
The only confusing part is that the Aux module in the Patch bay is called
"Effects".

I think Windows will boot fine, at least it used to with
all 5 cards in it. Now it chokes as soon as I attach a
scsi cable to any of my three new working mecs.
It didn't a couple of days ago.
I'm digging deeper into the way the cards are seated now.
I will check the Magma with one card and one interface at a=20
time. Maybe the scherzo drivers are screwy from removing=20
and reinserting the cards? =20
This is amazing how one little thing can ruin a good business.

until you can find the problem. If it is the bridge chips in the =
Magma,
I believe Windows would fail even if no cards were in it. You may =

test it with another PCI card in it just in case I'm wrong about that. =
It
sounds to me like a bad card that is throwing the PARIS driver for a =
shit
when it tries to innitialize any 442s that are attached (that happens =
on
start up).
