>HI Graham,
The TC is an excellent sounding device. Bt has suffered from allot of
driver and compatibility issues. They do seem to be improving them. For
under $500 they one of the best units sonically.

The SSL Alpha link is nice especially if you need a mixture of stuff.
The main problem with the current versions are that even though they are
supposedly 64 channels they only 48 channels of I/O . NJot sure why they
need to waste some many channels.
MADI has been our most commonly used PCI card for a about 2 years now.
We do allot of live recording setups that use large format consoles
which almost all use MADI.

(859) 635-5762HI Lamont,

As long as there are now compatibility issues then yes the M-Audio units
you mentioned are excellent. The Delta series have been reliable for
years but are getting pretty long in the tooth.
The only big issues with the firewire stuff has been reliability. We've
had allot of them die but mostly from customers unplugging em at the
wrong time.
Sense we are building 30 computer systems a month at this [point I
unfortunately get to see allot more of the crap..:(

st of all, as I said, Hendrix is kept out of this. He was from Mars, and
there is nobody in his 'lineage' and there never will be. Boxing him with
with SRV (a fine guitarist to be sure) is like comparing a Ferrari to a Camry.
Most, but not all, of the music you mention is 60's era stuff, and it was
mentioned in the context of songwriting. I think Westerberg stacks up against
plain only anyone. Is 'September

e been told repeatedly

Bottom line, if a person can't find great new music it's because they're
not looking hard enough.

ter will be next.Carl, I tracked down the dealers in my area... no refunds on the equation
audio - exchange only but they don't do Shure or Audix ... shoot..... to top
off they wanted $129 for one kick mic when MusFrnd wanted $129 for the 4
piece pack of CAD in a flight type paded case (same kick plus 3 tom/snr
mics). Guess I can't help out the local boys on this one.

There is a place closer to you, Rawson Audio in OKC... know anything about
them? No other Equation dealers in our state looks like. This could be worth
a trip to OKC if they have a better return policy, care to join me if that
works out?

Good catch on the name, I couldn't remember it either but you have saved the
day :)
