Note: While RX is a standalone application, iZotope is
currently developing plug-in versions of RX's real time modules
for use in your favorite DAW. When you buy RX or RX advanced,
you will receive these plug-ins at no additional charge when
they are released. RX plug-ins are currently planned for early
2008.

That'd be useful if you have a noisy indvidual guitar amp track
or something along those lines; and they're gonna throw 'em in
gratis.

So again, I suggest Suetonius, but you can take it or leave it. I've read
it already

Hare has a rather startling thesis in "Without Conscience".
that asserts that there are shades of socio/psychopathology
beyond the sane/insane paradigm. Hare believes that there
are millions of moderate to mild sociopaths and psychopaths
in our society. In the case of sociopaths in particular, their
narcissism and lack of conscience lead me to believe that
they are particularly attracted to visible, powerful, and
leadership positions. This thesis is mine, not Hare's and
I may write on it. It seems unavoidable given his assertions.
If you cannot think of a clear example of consistent and
methodical use of conscience in presidents in our lifetimes,
and I cannot (despite the fact that there are a few singular
examples, you still must remember that even Scott Petersen
could cry on demand if he thought it would get him a reward)
then I suspect that our image-driven media and the sheer
size of our population, combined with the enormous power
of the US Presidency, has indeed filled the office with the
conscience-free in recent decades.
I don't see how to change it, regardless of what
paradigm we use to understand it.
At any rate, you have badly misunderstood Hare. Start with
"Without Conscience". You will recognize many people
you have dealt with. With the music biz in particular, the
mild to moderate sociopath is the standard-issue personality.

Or, he's got a chick in the studio, and needed some "microphone

...........but if you could turn off all of those swirly, jumpy, boingy,
flashy things that "they" want to use, you'd have more resources to use for
other swirly, jumpy, boingy, flashy things that "you" want to use.
;o)I need some help, I have been running Paris 3.0 on an P4 with Windows XP
Pro.
It has been running very well for a couple of years now. Recently I opened
Paris as usual and I had no EDS effects. Now I didn't get a crash or error
messeges, it just opened with no effects in the list.
It is like that on any project I open. When I click the button to see the
effects, it says No Effects.
I reinstalled XP Pro from the ground up. Starting with a reinstall of
windows and so on. I have done this many times so I know exactly what I am
doing. I even tried a different EDS card. Still the same thing. Everything
works as it should. Just no effects.
I varified the presence of the PARIS_Fx.var file in the program folder. I
have Paris installed to the root directory. I have the XP effects subsystem
installed following the exact instructions to the letter. Like I said I know
how to do this as it has worked well in the past.
