(859) 635-5762DJ,
The DM-2000 is thee ultimate Mixer/Controller ..we are talking 96 channels
@96k with full eq &dynamics on every channel. Front ends Cubase/Neundo, PT,
Sonar, Logic ...very very well..

The on-board (24) mic pres are sweet. Very usable. Then there's the 8 SPX-1000'!!!
Yikes..Yes 8 of them..As well as, six (6) 31 band eqs..
Killer routing. Big, wide, open sound.. Even a Firewire (M-Lan) options..AND,
to think you can cascade 2 or more of these beast.

Yes, I use the DM when working at my buddies studio. Just amazing!! He has
a spare one, that he's holding for me. That will be my (home) studio front
end to Neundo & Pro Tools and even Paris..
Get it ..if you can..

Well you could probably do about the same thing with a Mac Book Pro and Ardour,
but who the hell would want to? Actually, running Ardour on Mac with OSX
would be a lot easier. Oh there I go again, I said the simple minded word,
easier.

It's like saying it's a lot better to have the ability to hand crank start
you car in five below zero weather than to drive a luxury car. Why have
stupid shit like remote start when you can hand crank start your car?

So your PC is faster than my Mac? While your on the side of the road, under
the hood trying to figure it all out, us Mac guys are flying by you with
our luxury Macs: )

By the way, you can personalize and customize a Mac, some people do, but
what's the sense? The OS can be hacked too. You just have to learn about
it.

James
The simple minded guy!

Steve Jobs business plan worked, and has help save the record industry.
In order to get them to go for the plan, Apple had to agree to limit the
number of copies a user can have on a number of machines. It is a reasonable
number of copies! I believe it six. Unlike MS/Rapsody, where as soon as
you stop paying MS, the music stops being playable. At least you get to
keep what you buy with iTunes, unlike MS's DRM bullshit!.

The record companies are
