Do you notice a big difference in sound quality between the 20 and 24 bit ins? Or maybe it makes a difference when you dither to 16 bits?
Thanks again for the help!

Hey Kerry,
Thanks for the help!
So I could put both 8 ins in the same mec, assign them to the same submix so I can do 16 in at once,
But I would still need both EDS cards/M

ECs to mix 32 tracks in real time.
I think I have used the 8 in and the mec's 4 ins together (if I don't mind using the 20 bit inputs), is that ok?

That should be fine - I'll take PARIS at 20 bits over most systems at 24 anyway. There seems to be a general consensus around those who've done a lot of critical listening that neither the app nor the converters are responsible for PARIS' famed "mojo" - if I'm not misremembering, that seems to be in the interaction between the ParisStudioControl driver and the EDS DSP (the app seems basically a sophisticated "control panel" for the PSCL).This mobo looks like it would work, but somebody reported that wattage was an issue??? Anybody know anything about this?

I am a laptop guy so my new 64bit laptop quadcore is triving for Mike's 64bit drivers ! BUT I would need any info regarding the existence of a working external PCI extender that works either on USB3 or maybe a PCMCIA card... although USB3 is preffered, if I can prefer in a situation like this !!
Thanks for jumping in !
Regards,
DimitriosI've changed from a G5 to an iMac so I've left the RME 9652 in favor of an RME Babyface, but the beauty of the 9652 is that it's one of the few remaining cards which support 9-pin ADAT sync. Reaper read that info very nicely as APP (ASIO Positioning Protocol) - my sync worked very well using that.

If you've got the 9652 and an ADAT card, you've already got most of what you want - just route via ADAT optical, there's only a single sample of latency. So you recommend using the Adat sync (I usually hear bad things about that) and not using the word clock ?
I know some people say that all you need is the litepipe as there's jitter correction etc on most cards, but I want to go the most robust and reliable route.

I ca

I've just installed Mike's 64bit driver (big thanks for his heroic effort to make it work!!!) and I'm trying to recall my memories about the various settings.

Is there any way to specify multiple VST paths in the Paris.cfg file? Paris doesn't seem to look in the subfolders, so it won't see all my plugins.I have such a Magma chassis - a PCMCIA card type that's got a single PCI slot - but need to see if it's long enough for an EDS.Cool !
Lets see if it fits a card !!
Regards,
Dimitriosmight try checking the toslink connectors...takes a hard push sometimes!Mike,
You are running on Windows 7 64 bit how can I do this? I have heard that Windows 7 32 bit only allows 4 gigs of RAM and I find my machine gulping at times. I really need to up the RAM running Slate and such. Can I upgrade to Windows 7 64 and still run PARIS?hi dimitrios-
