>Hi David
I think that's the problem...although I'm not sure whether it's Intel based
although it's brand new, (not mine).
I said to him that he should probably get V 7.3, which is what he was
supposed to get but they didn't have 7.3 in stock apparently.
He bought it with the 002 rack unit, and told him to get the free upgrade to
7.3.
One question though, it
PT 7.3 LE, will that be able to be controlled by T/C, (MTC)?, as the show
we are doing, (Australia's
Next Top Model), want's us the be the master clock for the 4 digital
betacams that are shooting the show?

I set Paris to word clock 44.1 and both 8 channel pre's to be slave @ 44.1.
The Aardsync has 3 word clock outs on it so I ran 3 seperate BNC cables,
one to each entity, and selected 44.1 on the Aardsync. When I enabled all
16 tracks, they snapped and poped like crazy. So I put the Aardsync back

Then I set paris to internal and ran a BNC cable from it to the first 8 channel
pre and had nothing to run the second 8 channel pre. Obviously, 1-8 were
pop free and 9-16 poped like crazy.

I build machines for studios who ar into video editing as well. And these
studios are Mac based Pro Tools HD /Ala Final cut pro. However, they saw
a Dual AMD XP(At the time) running Vega Video Pro, and they decided to go
with the Dual Opteron running Vegas Pro / with the Matrox RT card.
Most mac users find it hard to believe that aWindows based machine can out
gun them on video editing, but it's true.It just depend onthe Application..
For Mac, Adobe premier and final cut pro have been Altivec optimized..That's
great. However, on the windows side, Sony's Vegas Video as well as Avid Xpress,
can run, render like nobodys business. AND , they could save a few bucks
in the process.
