d posts.

If you guys stick to facts, how is that bashing? Both companies have
histories. The facts are there.

Apple does not equal Microsoft. They aren't identical.

It would be inaccurate to claim that only Mac users criticize
Microsoft's business practices (more like people who recognize the
problems with MS eventually end up on Mac or Linux because that's all
that's left).

If the known differences in ethics and corporate behavior matter to you,
they will affect your choices. If the differences don't matter to you,
they won't affect your choices.

If the differences in business models matter to you they will affect
your choices. If not, they won't.

If differences in company founder charitable giving and the associated
business strategies matter to you they will affect your choices. If not,
they won't.

If a particular set of facts aren't significant to you, it's possible to
acknowledge that without denying facts and without rationalizing.

Calling anyone names over the issue, that seems entirely unnecessary.

We have very few choices left in the OS market. Pick what you like based
on the criteria that matter to you.

Please feel free to discuss facts about differences that exist in one of
the main classes of gear we all use in our studios. The differences are
not trivial IMO.

Cheers,
-Jamie
