I need to buy a copy of XP, and the OEM version is nicely inexpensive. Does
Microsoft slap any weird penalties on the home user for buying an OEM
version? Less customer support or something?
Thanks.
JimmyI don't think it's legal. Oem software can only come from the OEM if i'm
correct.

To buy it legally you have to buy it with some computer hardware i.e.,
mobo, ram, cpu, hd, cd, floppy, ps, etc.
You might as well buy the retail copy at that point.

I think the reason(s) why the mention of Steve Jobs and Keynotes brings out
so much venom, as you say, is because of the both the past and even current
lies and propaganda that spews from his mouth..
Statements like : Re-invent and Faster Personal Computer ever in my opinion
is just plain wrong. I know too many had working people who believed His
(Jobs) hype. Only to be sorely disa pointed when they found out that the
Cpu test were rigged, and their Mac did "crash" on both OS8,9 and even OS-X(all
versions).
He (Jobs) usually mocks at windows user and Microsoft when he starts his
keynote.(read: Dumb) When 90 percent of this world are using Windows based
computers.
So, the venom is actually corrections to the lies Mr Jobs spews. When Mac
users come and reguritate Mr Jobs lies, most Windows users will not just
let them get away with such.
I don't see anything wrong with setting the record straight.
P.S.
The Mac Pro is currently thee fastest Personal Computer on the market.. :)
