I'm pretty sure that is my problem with the current one. It's got plenty
of mumbo to do the job (it's rated at like 700 watts and I must be using
like 100). It just seems that under certain circumstances in this house the
power fluctuates enough to hang the server, but not enough for the UPS to
kick in. Didn't happen at the last place. I think the power was more stable
there.

I can see I'm going to have to do my homework and read the specs on a few
different models to find a good one.

Before I buy anything or accept any donations however I want to grab a copy
of the UPS software and see if I c

that we have the funds to get a good one. I imagine, given the number of
respondants already, that just $10 a peice or something would probably be
enough, but we'll wait and see if I can tweak the current one first.

Kim.My Paris chops sure are rusty. I haven't recorded in a long while. After a
loonngggggg dry spell with writing, I finally decided to record some of the
stuff. I was really puzzled by the absolutely HUGE waveforms I was getting,
despite the meters on both the MEC and the Mix window showing well below the
red zone. Seems I forgot about the wave sizing thingy. Doh. Its a
learning curve all over again -or maybe a learning bump??
