DJ, Ae you kidding!! Friend, The Dom himself(Rumsfeld) does not want to be
there!! Rice, Bush, Cheney, all of the Generals have pretty much "abandoned
Ship" or have you not heard??
It's a mess!! We have egg all over our faces in the middle east. We have
"LOST!!!" the both the political and the tactical" war in Iraq and the middle
east..
Then, to add insult to injury, we(with Isreal)fight a 30plus day war to save
face and beat the hezbollahs..Well, again, we lost the political battle and
the Hezbollahs did not fall. Then, there's the on-goining Afganistan battle
where the Taliban is holding it's ground..
So, my "sharp" shooting friend, what good are your skills, if you incounter
a road-side care bomb??
Nothing. ///Stay home, and record. Leave the these propoganda wars to the
war-lords..No need in good patriots like yourself to be wasted like our kids
over in the middle east for such a lousy reason.

only step remaining is to
invite them in to take over - they don't really want your support, or to see
you hate Bush - they just want us gone, done, out of sight, out of mind.
Don't expect the Democratic party to win any friends in the Middle East.
Trying to please everyone to keep from offending anyone never works (the sad
state of the Dem platform) - you just end up without a platform to stand on
and nothing to show for your efforts. The terrorists won't stop until the
US is destroyed. At this point it doesn't matter whether we are Republican,
Democrat, Independent, or whatever - if we fight and fear our own country
and each other more than the terrorists that not only threaten our country,
but many others, we will be overtaken, either politically, militarily, or
economically.
Be careful what you wish for...
Despite the bizarre happenings of the last several years (including
Clinton's era, 9/11, and the Iraq war), I believe in my gut that we've been
protected from something that would make 9/11 look like a fender bender in a
Walmart parking lot - or maybe it's been postponed. Who's doing the
protecting is a matter of belief, and it isn't justification on my part in
any way - it's a serious gut feeling I've had for a long time, and I've only
had a few like this in my lifetime - all were right, but feel free to take
it with a grain of salt. Considering that we seem to be rebelling against
the very notion that our country is in danger from a threat we really would
rather not recognize because we might offend someone (viewing Islamic
extremists with almost apology and sympathy), rather th

an actually being
concerned about what this growing terrorist movement means, our future as a
country looks rather grim.
I think it is important to be aware that al Quaeda's motivation seems to
have grown far beyond their organization (the UK/plane hijacking plot just
foiled was only loosely tied to al Quaeda). At this point, taking out al
Quaeda would hardly make a dent in the threat.

It wouldn't be politically prodent. whoever does that loses the hispanic
vote.

your little war, and you'll "Bush-ites" will give us cheap gas??<
Where did you get that? Can you quote a source. That was the Clinton mantra
my friend. The ecenomy appears to be good so let's keep whistling in the
dark aned not rock the boat while the threats gather on the horizon. If 911
would have happened a year earlier, the blame would have been clear to even
you.

up here, it's about Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, Jobs and Gas$$$$ Gas $$$$ Gas$$$$..<
I've got no problem with peoiple who happen to be from Mexico or anywhere
else. I've got a problem with an uncontrolled border and with terrorists..As
far as jobs jobs jobs are concerned, perhaps you should consider the reason
why the detroit auto industry doesn't produce cars that people want to buy
anymore. Compared to what is available from the foriegn competitors, they
are overpriced crap my friend. If they built the Honda spec, the car would
cost so much that no one would buy it because of the amount of union lard
that is ladled onto the price tag of each vehicle so they cut corners and
build cheap because that the only way they can achieve a copmpetitive price
point. They have been crap since the early 70's.

really had that, we wouldn't be in Iraq *and* the Iraqi people would still
be free to make their own decisions out from under the crushing weight of a
dictator's thumb. But sadly, we've chosen to adopt the hypocritical facade
that Hollywood and the news media feeds us. <
Had we pulled together and presented a united front, like we did in WWII,
this might well be an entirely different scenario right now. The left and
their media shills use the loophole that there is *no declaration* of war to
skate on what would otherwise be considered to be treason and then scream
about how many kids have been killed in this conflict while encouraging
those who are killing them to keep up the good work because if they just
keep on doing it, we will set a deadline for withdrawal.

out there for reliability and security. One small problem is that they won't
host any unmanaged .Net code, so you can't use OLEDB database connections,
but that probably isn't an issue for you :-)

my life (Jesus). Just because we differ on Us politics and events, does not
mean that people who Christians who think like me are not.
Politics & religion: Let's see..This current regime used relifion(Christianity)
to get re-eletced. Tell them to "not confuse the two"!!
Did not Jesus say the following:
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted
Blessed are the meek,
for that shall possess the earth
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice
for they shal be satisfied
Blessed are the merciful
for they shall obtain mercy
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they shall see God
Blessed are the peacemakers
for they shall be called children of God
Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven
Blessed are you when men reproach you, and
persecute you, and speaking falsely, say all manner of evil against you,
for my sake.
That's what I know and belive. You can can continue to belive is this false
bravado you call Patriotism and love by it.
As for me and my family, we will continue to ride in our mini vans, and drink
slurpies while heading down to Costcos..

I need an electric piston.
Or
Maybe an electric acuator.
Basically just a rod that is incased by a cylinder and extends and retracts
when voltage is applied.
It needs to be maybe 4-6inches long and can apply a good amount of
pressure.
I can't find this from web searches.
Obviousely, I don't know the correct terminology.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

1. What version of Autotune are you using with Paris 3.0?
2. Is it true that newer versions of Autotune sound better than older versions,
and if so, at what version did the program start sounding significantly better?
Thanks to everyone, as always.
JimmyThe only rub here I believe is that the current UAD software is OSX
only (which won't run on a G4)... which means you would not be able to
run any of the newer UA plugs like the Neve EQ.

------=_NextPart_000_0072_01C6C5FC.69516410--sent you some notes.I'm running an 828 on my G5 with DP and loving it. Performance is good at
128 buffer size and that's very low latency. I don't know what performance
would be like on an older G4 and as Gantt said, you'll probably want to be
running OSX. I was running OSX on my dual 1GHz G4, but it might be too much
for an older G4. I'm currently running PARIS on the Dually G4 and DP on a

My main problem is how to get all these babies recorded before I turn 90. I
guess it's really just one obsession or another . . . I obsess over finished
compositions. (And now for a limited time, you can hear some of these
compositions at www.sarahtonin.com/wayward.htm and perhaps add a lovely
packaged collection to your music library.)
Aah, any opportunity for a shameless plug.

http://www.4mspedals.com/Hey Aaron I've been hip to the shuttle and that form factor for years, which
is a lot bigger than the Mac Mini. This is the first PC that I've seen that
is the size of the Mac Mini, basically 6.5 x 6.5 x 2", about the size of
an external hard drive. Dell has a 10 x 10 x 3.5" machine, and WinBook has
a 9 x 8 x 2".
If you really want to see some copycat stuff go watch the WWDC keynote speech
where they compare Mac OSX to Windows Vista. Or go look at the look of iTunes,
especially the older version of iTunes and compare it to Windows Media player
11. Check out the disk logo with the musical note, and the buttons with
the Aqua look!

off the disk and went with Apple's original blue theme.

I guess I'm being a bit petty, but after years of MS copying Apple, it makes
a Mac guy ill to see MS get the credit. When it comes to MS there's no accounting
for innovation or originality. If they didn't buy it, they stole it!
I have to laugh though when I hear that MS has spent over 9 billion on office
2007 and vista and they still don't have their shit together. By the way
that's billion with a "B"!
Oh shit! I think I just started the next Mac vs. PC war; )

How low you set the buffers depends largely on how powerful the processor
is and how hard you are working it. I have never tried to use software effects
during live recording, but I have used DP as a “Live” rack when mixing in
Paris. I still needed to shift tracks in most cases to be 100% happy with
the results.
I’m spoiled that I have hardware to do this on the way in.This is from the logs of a high traffic database/VM server

That means a few hours over a year with no crashes/reboots/etc. Yes, it's
behind on security patches (not a year behind, we're selective), but only
two non-standard ports are allowed inbound and we've restricted all of the
services we can on it, and it's behind our PIX. So we're taking more chances
on it than we would with a web server out in the soup. But it gets banged

tell you a properly configured M$oft box can't be stable.

gt;I think that is a good idea. I have a couple of others coming up
first.
Hey, I fell in love with the sound samples on this box, and
impulsively ordered one up:
http://www.foxroxelectronics.com/
Click on Paradox TZF
He wants it to only be at the end of the signal chain so that
his box works on the fully effected tone.
Seems like a bitchin' box. I should have it in a couple weeks

If so, this is likely the reason. Open the project, disable the loop
function, save the project under a new name and you should be good (if this
is he error I think it is). This code is one of the *features* that isn't
mentioned in the manual.

I use Autotune ver. 3, I have not ventured down the "graphical" mode , as
I have read a number of posts stating that there is a problem with this.
My usage of Autotune has primarily been for abstract color, so for me, "auto"
mode works flawlessly. Sorry if I caused any confusion here.

Nah, but I can't spell acquain... err... akwayntenc... ahh
ferget it.
:)On my G5 with the buffer set to 128 in DP, I'm guessing approx. 3ms latency.
I've never bothered to find out how to check the exact figure as it's been
low enough that I don't really care. I don't know if an older G4 would run
well at that buffer setting though. I have a feeling not. With insert type
effects i.e. EQ's, Comps, etc., the whole track will be delayed with
whatever latency you have out and back in, and will need to be compensated
for when returning the send to the mix. With send type FX, Reverb,
Delay, etc. you can probably dial stuff in to work with no compensation,
unless you're trying to sync tempo delays or something like that. I haven't
actually messed with the type scenario you are asking about, so I can' t
give too much solid advice. I can only say that the 828 MkII is a solid
piece of gear and I would think with a good fast comp. you could do what
you're wanting to do. I would be leery about a 833 MHz G4 being fast enough
though. Sorry.

I will have no commments on it, or on anything else related to these issues.
http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog/911mythsblogalso
I've dealt with this issue quite a bit.
I've even caused it on purpose to try to figure out how to fix
it.
(recording with looping on (with no punch points) will cause it)
Anyway, in ALL cases that I've seen, the error seems to be caused
by a corrupted segment on the playing field.. actually, I believe
it is caused by a corrupted crossfade, to be specific.
Whenever, I get this error, I remove the last take/edit from the
playing
field
(between the dialogs popping up), save, quite and restart paris.
At this point, the problem seems to go away.
Good luck!
Try increasing your disk cache and overview sizes in the Config menu. On
the problem project, clear the Undo buffer and delete the Markers.
I never have that problem anymore (like once every 6 months now) since I
increased my disk cache size to 128MB and my overview to 21000KB.

government involvement and cover-up to itsy-bitsy pieces with cold hard
complete factual and multiple independent verifications per point. The book
project began with a completely open question and a willingness to examine
all the evidence and let the answers be whatever they were. If you're
afraid of the real story, don't read this book.

+-1.5dB.

> http://www.popularmechanics.com/blog/911mythsblogThe stuff in the 911 movie on the internet, said that the pentagon wasn't
hit by a jet, then it was a two engine NAVY jet, so which is it? Then it
was a different kind of jet, or a military drone that was painted to look
like a airline jet. So which is it? According to these deceivers, it's
everything other than what it really was. I guess we didn't really see Airliners
crash in to the World Trade Center on 9/11, it was just smoke and mirrors.
The Government payed all the people that were supposed to be on those flights
and their families and friends to move to a private government island and
keep quiet. All this stuff is just propaganda.
Our government is so mismanaged and disorganized, it couldn't find it's ass
with both hands and a road map, much less pull this 911 conspiracy off.
Please, It's bull shit! The 911 conspiracy movie is just somebody's political
agenda.
Unfortunately, people are going to believe what they want, regardless of
the truth, that is right in front of them, because, it conveniently fits
their agenda.
Evil always denies the truth first.
