Big place. Will you use scaffolding or does that enclosure
come down?
I can only imagine the number of structural approvals needed
for that project!

we'd have to get new phones if they dropped Blackberry. Whew!
I heard from an insider Steinberg is still committed to Cubase too. Man,
what a world we live in! I'm getting kind of dewey. It's like a great
big world-wide renewing of vows!

I sure would like to see us go to vbulletin...
http://www.vbulletin.com/
Yes, I am willing to contribute to it. You have to register,
and the admin can publish guidelines. Moderating is relatively
easy, with points assigned for various infractions and
the app automatically suspending someone who hits the limit
for a predetermined time.
We would need some folks to help moderate, but I think it
would be well worth it to keep us on-topic and stop some of
this drive-by shooting.. errr, posting.

The two towers you see on the other side contain winch motors and the
whole mess gets lowered to the ground. The entrance to the cluster is
on the underside, so we stop at about 8'. Currently it houses 24 JBL
15" front load woofers and 36 2445 drivers on standard lens'. This was
a fine INDOOR PA in it's time ;-) but the weather has taken its toll
over the years and it's now time for replacement. The trick was to find
a solution that would keep the existing structure, and reduce the net
weight load so we wouldn't have to go through re-engineering the towers
and cables. The structure is about 20' across and 12' tall. We will be
installing 5 sticks of 9 boxes each, one for each quadrant and one for
north end zone coverage for special events and times where extra seating
is set up (Grey Cup). We are using 23 EV TG7 amps (see attached) to
power the system (and concourse feeds)... right around 85KW of output at
the spec'd load impedance! Should be fun to crank up!! :-) The cool
thing about these amps is they are completely auto-ranging from 100V to
240V... we will be running them on 208V Single phase power... no Neutral!
I will be taking pictures of the install as it goes. I will stick them
up on our site and let you know when it's there.
