it working with third party
products is unreasonable, you have a reasonable expectation of it working
when you bought it. Apple can not guaranty that their product will or won't
work with third party products, that is a given. I would ignore that statement,
and do as I suggested, take it in, if that doesn't work hire an attorney
to write a letter. Start with the BBB, it's free. Also bad press is not
good, people have set up negative web sites and Apple ands up fixing the
problem. iPod nano screen, etc.
By the way Apple was number one for years in customer service and satisfaction.
I believe they were rated number one again last year for the first time
in years. I think reputation is important to them, so don't give up. Remember,
The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
People have won many lawsuits against Apple, you just don't hear about it.
Usually the issue is resolved with some form of remedy. I don't think you
need to go as far as to file a suit with them, I think a letter will work.
