>Hmm, after watching the clip from the Somerville Theater (about 6 miles from
here), I dig the drummer, seems to be a Levon disciple. The keys man is pretty
cool too. Great intro.
Honestly though, and most of you will probably disagree, I just don't get
this style of female vocalist, the emotion always seems a bit forced to me.
.
Give me a Emmylou, Stevie Nicks, Janice, Nico Case, Dusty Springfield even
old Rondstadt.
The band does kick some ass though, and I really shouldn't judge till I hear
more.

>>Hi All,
I just thought I'd let you know that I got one of the two hall algorithms
working this morning. I forgot to implement a rather important control,
but I don't expect it will be difficult to finish. I also have to make the
interface layout work a bit better.
I'm not sure if this is a simple esp2 port of the DP/4 Hall algo, or if it
is an updated version of it. But, it sounds incredibly smooth, full, and
wide. Just listening to the outputs is awesome. It sounds beautiful all
by itself. To my ears, it is an improvement over the dp/4 hall, but that
may be because of its 24 bit input and output, or because all the analog
circuitry is bypassed.
Anyway, it's coming soon, and it rocks!!!!
All the best,
MikeGood stuff Mike...!!!

Yes, I know. I recently purchased two 750G drives because of that echo.
;o)Was tracking some drums last night & the drummer didn't like
the way he played a certain break, so we tried punching it...
still didn't like it, so we tried a few more punches & got one
he liked, so as I was checking to see if it would blend well
(applying crossfades, nudging them into different spots to see
if we could get a seamless edit), the app (CubaseSX v3) locked
up... had to save the project under a different name & reboot.
This happened to me once before, under the same circumstances...
bunch of punches on a drum track, then grabbing the crossfades
& moving them. What causes this? Is it a problem with the app
itself in the way it handles that info, or is it a RAM or CPU
issue? I doubt it's a disk streaming thing, because it's not
like we were trying to do these edits on the fly - the machine
was stopped at the time, in both cases.
Just curious - anyone know?
Neilif i weren't on dial-up i could humor more people than just myself....

Thanks for what you are doing here for us !!!
You know that I donated for the amp some money.
I will add some more for the amp nd then for the reverb...or maybe once for
both when convinient...
Regarding the different amp versions I got confused with what is the best
!!
I tried to make some correstions s to be able to load all three changing
the name but what I succeeded with is that I have now three plugins under
the same name (could not effectively change that !) and although being able
to audition all I don't know which is what !
Can you please rename the amps as Amp1, Amp2 and Amp3 so that they can be
inserted that way ?
This way I can try all and hear which sounds best to my ears...
Thanks again!

Thank you for all your feedback and support! I sent you an email with build
1.4 attached, but I think we've got some email issues for some reason between
us.
I just sent you a copy of 1.4 from my hotmail account. Let me know if this
doesn't arrive. 1.4 includes a much better cabinet simulator. Aaron Allen
pointed me in the direction of how to improve it, and deserves a lot of credit
for this upgrade.

If you want to make 1.4 sound like one without the input attenuation, just
place a compressor before it and use the compressor output gain knob to smack
the input on the amp. I much prefer the plugin the way it is.
I will have a killer reverb for you soon, though. :)

>Hello everyone.
I hope this isn't spamming, but I thought I'd set up a blog as a
resource and a place for additional PARIS-related chat. Undoubtedly I'll
be touching on some other topics like REAPER, Black Lion Audio's mods,
bass playing and many others, but I'd like to hear what interests you in
audio too.
It's my eventual goal to collect as many PARIS resources as possible
into one location for my own lazy sake. To that end, I'm scavenging and
organizing as much of the existing PARIS practical-knowledge-base as I
can find on the internet into an additional website, which I'll put up
and link from the blog as time permits. I will very much appreciate your
suggestions and input on this. For example, I hope to put links to all
plugins that run happily in PARIS in one place - and in some cases,
where possible, even host the files themselves. SImilarly skins,
utilities, manuals, FAQs, tracksheets (I've made lots of new ones) etc.
I'd also like to take advantage of modern technologies like commenting,
media galleries to feature mixes and pictures, polls and many others.
If you're interested, I hope you'll pop by and take a look and offer any
suggestions for improvement that you care to (and then I'll let you know
what I can actually implement, because it's all Blogger template-based,
so it has flexibility in some areas and not others). While you're at it,
if you like, you could take the first poll too so I can start getting a
handle on how many users there still are.
You can leave comments in the existing threads, and we'll move to
enabling more advanced community participation, like the ability to
create your own threads, when I get a handle on how all the moving parts
fit together. I've posted an open thread for general chat, although for
the moment I'd prefer you not bring political/religious/platformwar
issues there, full stop. At some point I have the sneaking hope to also
set up the infrastructure for collaborative musical work.
You'll find the blog at:
http://ensoniqparis.blogspot.com/
There's not a ton of content there yet, but I hope you find there's some
intriguing potential, and I also hope to show you some interesting stuff
soon myself. I've started the ball rolling in a couple of threads.
Site policies are stated in the Welcome post, and participation
signifies one's understanding and acceptance of them. You can find them
at the bottom of the page, or click here to go directly to them -
http://ensoniqparis.blogspot.com/2008/03/greetings-all.html
They tend towards the simple common sense - you can't go wrong with the
courtesy Mama lern'd ya. Making the ability to comment subject to
membership in the blog and then policing the membership, or moderating
comments, is technically easy with a mere few mouse-clicks; however
comments won't initially be moderated until/unless I feel it's
necessary.
With that in mind,. I'm hoping I won't need to spend much time weeding
the garden there, and that people will voluntarily maintain standards of
discourse and S/N. Like all Canadians, I do have a "special club" I keep
in the family igloo, but I prefer to reserve it for times of need - say,
when I fancy a pelt for a new hat.
I hope you'll stop by! Help yourself to the new PARIS tracksheets if you
like, and let me know how I can make them better.

Yep, I'm keeping the Fender, it has a great sound. Digging the Warwick,
too, and the 5 string/24 fret range.
Neither are fretless but my violin is, does that count? ;^)

I went and played a PRS today to get a feel for what their system does,
and it actually sounds pretty good. I think they use some pretty hot
pickups (this was one of their original style guitars), so the split
prolly works better than it would on a weaker pup. Anyway someone posted
a link to a store that sells the PRS wiring harness. That's the way I'm
going.
