or combination of services being changed fromn automatic to manual is
causing this, but it's definitely being caused by making changes in
this area. To figure this out, I'm going to have to "Ghost" after I
make each one, because once the fatal change is made, resetting back to
defaults does not work. This will take a very long time and each Ghost
Image uses quite a bit of HD space. I do have a 200G drive here and I

--------------040401010103060902040206--Guys & Gals,
Hey has anyone use this plugin from Waves (Transform Bundle). Well at our
comemrical studio, we have the Gold Bundle and this plugin has been around
for a while no one has used it not tmy knowleged. So, I was mixing this Hip/Hop
Gospel track with , of courese some very "agressive" drums form Stylus RMX.
This mix was coming along fine, but was lacking the punch thatit needed.
I don't know what came over me, but, I somehow I pulled in this plugin on
the master buss...BOOM!! The drums were "smack" dead in our faces..Sounds
like I had "inserted the SSL-G Master buss compressor(Aka quad comp)..Really!!
Shocked ,I put ithe Trans-X plug in bypass..Drums went back to their lack
luster place. So, I inserted the Trans-X on the Kick and Snare..I had an
LA-2 on both prior..nice, vut nothing to write home about for this type of
music....Again...BOOM!! This kick was solid, Jumpd right in front, and was
fuller & rounder. Again, like we I put this thru an SLL comp.. Same with
the Snare & Claps..
So, I started inserting the other Tranform plugs into various tracks. Simply,
these plugs are "AWSOME!!.. Waves are making some of the best plugins I've

again..Cool...TransX is for any sound engineer or musician who wishes to shape transients
on their tracks.
The NEW Waves TransX processor brings innovative ways to rhythmically control
your signals that preserve and restore the "life" of the tracks. Unlike traditional
compressors which let you control by ratio, attack, release, frequency,
etc. TransX focuses on two aspects of the signal, the transients and sustain-decay
and then let you control each.
Features:
Control Room Sound - Increase or decrease the amount of "room sound"
Control Microphone Distance - control the perception of mic placement
Control "pick and stick" - on drums and guitars
Soften the Edge - re-design the attack where softer sounds are desired
Add Punch - add or soften edge where needed to any instrument
Multiple tools - for speed and efficiency: Wide band for quick solutions,
a 4 band for a total control of reshaping
Subtle or Extreme - a new sonic universe.
"In a word - fantastic! It brought life back to a very over-compressed mix
I'm mastering at the moment."

George, Gloria Gaynor…

7.2.1 update I had already downloaded.
It's been in cycle mode for a while on the project I need to finish
tonight. No plugin instruments have dropped out.
So far so good...

Also, when starting playback of a sequence after not using logic for a
while, the system no longer pops up a requester about core audio
slowness if a drive is asleep. The Mac now just starts up the drive and,
when ready, Logic starts playing like it should. The previous weirdness
of handling that situation was my second big complaint.
Since they seem to have fixed my top two requests I'm beginning to think
my request letter actually got to the right people at Apple via Apple's
demo guy. But however it came about, Logic 7.2.1 is much more responsive
and reliable which is great!

RobI just got one of the 24" wide screens from Dell, 1920 x 1600 I think. It's
pretty great, and I think I could fit two on my desk. Then again, that 30"
dell or an Apple 30" would be quite nice.
