>>Guys - Thanks a million for your help and suggestions.
I knew this was good place to turn when I need help.
The problem is solved. It's Roxio Cd Creator.
Memorex put me in touch with "the man" on the west coast.
He'd seen it before. He e-mailed two "cleaner" utiltities: one to take off
the nero
software supplied with the new DVD burner, and a second to clean off roxio
software. He said the regular add remove process would not cut it.
Anyway, in a few minutes my computer has returned to normal without any
major deal.
I'm not watching a dvd yet but I hope to get into what this thing does right
away.
Just wanted to get you guys off the trouble shooting mode ASAP!
Although I had to work with 3 people at memorex to get this togeher, they
all
bent over backward to help me.
Thanks again and have a great weekend.
