Also, do you have any of the X jumper cables to chain the EDS1000 cards together.
SteveI have a 2.6 AMD processor. But only 1 gig of ram. When I ad a second EDS1000, should I up the ram to 2, maybe even 4 gigs? I am out of PCI slots with my two EDSs and a video card. Since my internal sound card is kind of lame and I am out of slots; I was thinking about getting a new motherboard/processer with more slots, a better sound card for the wav lab stuff. Maybe I will finally get inspired enough to make the switch up to XP or will Paris work in Windows 7?
MeinkI am needing another C16 or 2. Still have any?

icant enough of an improvement over what I have and would it run with what I have. Would it work better with XP or Windows 7. If so, I would like to have it. Will Paris Pro and one of your blue C16s work with what I have?

I never used them. They were given to me by a friend to do as I please. I can't guarantee they work but he did say they did except for the 2 faders.
At this point I just want them out of my living room (or my wife does!  )

I wish could buy all of what you have. But, I have been buying and fixing too much stuff trying to get my studio back up and running. I am starting to thin out on money.
I could also use a few TRS inputs and outs.
I have been looking through this site and can't find the migration guide to 3.0 and XP. Do you have a copy? I may have one buried in my computer because I tried once before. But, I didn't realise you had to be running 3.0. I am at 2.1.

615-431-2655Hi Steve. the migration to XP is simple. All i did was get XP running on my machine and simply installed the software following the steps over at Paris FAQ's. Took me like 20 minutes to get it installed and working. Yes, the C16 is in great condition. Check your Messages when you get a free minute.

I have been trying to bring my studio as up to date as possible. But, I'm practically tapped out. Is the C16 in good condition? Do the MEC boxes each have the MEC Masters?

SteveYes both mecs have the master sections with 4 trs ins and 4 trs outs and everything else. The 8in board is a piece on its own that goes into a mec to expand it. One Mec and the 8in board will get you 12 TRS inputs. Everything is like new.
C16 is in mint condition and always kept covered.
Thanks, then what I need is as you said; The 1 MEC box, the expantion board and C16. What is the least you will take for those 3 items? I'll borrow what I need to buy them because they are the highest on my priority list.

1 SMPTE card. I got a deal on it, was hoping they would complete functionality on it. I remember some using it on a limited basis)
1 Blue MEC- never used.
1 Black C16, 1 Blue C 16
(these work, but sometimes some buttons were finicky.
I never attempted to clean them, or apply any fixes, just worked with them.
All the connecting cables.
If I look hard enough I probably have at least one of those 2 input connectors that could plug into a card or the back of an MEC.
I would like to unload everything. And not locked into any particular price, long as it's reasonable, and shipping would have to be worked out.

There's nothing like backup parts, even if there's no room to integrate any of this into your system.

DorosGrab the drivers from the Mike Audet link or the one above in the header - should be pretty immediate.
Once you've got that, just download the PARIS 3.0 software from this link and you're good to start the install (you've got a grace period of one week once you boot 3.0 to try it out, so make sure you ask for your authorization code right away).

Hi.
I need some Paris stuff, to expand my old black bundle 2 system(eds, 442, c16), so I can record at once at least 12 channel's of my band's rehearsals.
For that I'll need Mec(black possibly) with 8 in modul,
or 2.option, for 16 channels recording - Mec, 8 in modul, eds1000 card, and c16.
Currently I'm using Cubase 4 on my laptop, with some tc electronics
and jumhub interface for that purpose, but I miss my old Paris habits - clear approach, ease of use and great sound!

Thanks for your inquiry.
I don't have any photos but I can send you some. It is new out of the box so it looks exactly like what you'd see at the Magma website. No scratches, dents, etc. Includes the PCI host card and cable (also new). I just took it out of the box, plugged the card into a PC, put an EDS card in the chassis and verified that PARIS could see the card.
The three 8-in cards are now sold. Everything else in the listing is still available.

Anyways I am settled and back on line. Some of the items I had donated to a church and I am rethinking the rest of my gear right now. I apologize for not getting back sooner. I would like to unload everything. And not locked into any particular price, long as it's reasonable, and shipping would have to be worked out.

BTW, which Magma chassis do you have?   I'll check tonight when I get home. Also, wonder if u could help. I just built a windows 64 bit computer and Mikes new driver. I'm trying to use 2 EDS cards in the computer so I can use two C16 s side by side so I can mix without using submix. I'm trying a cracked version of Paris 3.0 and it seems to work except it says you EDS cards aren't configured properly. I know I have to find which is the A card and daisy chain them per the manual. Also connecting the 10 pin word clock. Any ideas to make this easier. By the way not to worried about the cracked 3.0 after talking to Adrian over at intelligent devices.
Also I've added 2x8 in cards and 1x8 out card to the MEC. It doesn't seem to be recognizing the in cards. I vaguely remember someone saying they had the same issue and moved slots. Any ideas here?

EDIT: I've been primarily a Mac guy, so I'm not sure about the Windows stuff. If you've got two cards in your case, the one set of ribbons cables should make an "X". I don't remember having any problems with the location of 8in cards, but that doesn't really mean much either, especially now that I'm a bit older... I have

One goal is to make an EDS replacement with the ESP2 chips implemented in an FPGA...I kinda thought that's where you were going with it
Cool!OK, I'm impatient, and I realized that I have ten of them, so I decided to sacrifice one of my EDS cards to the cause. I've saved the ESP2 chips, and everything else came off easily too. I can either try to rebuild the card later, or maybe I'll go back into the repair business...
I also found the old ADAT board that I had already stripped, along with all of my notes about it.
Still hoping to get dead 8in and 8out cards that I can strip down.

That's great, if I have another card to disassemble, then I can be brave about peeling back layers and such. And if it's something obvious that's wrong with your card, I'll fix it and send it back to you...
